Tiago R. Correia Arquitectos Featured in Portugal’s Leading Media

The studio Tiago R. Correia Arquitectos was mentioned in two of Portugal’s reference media outlets — Jornal de Negócios and ECO. The articles refer to the studio’s architectural contribution to the rehabilitation of the building at Rua da Bombarda 54, in Lisbon, in line with our approach to design and to the enhancement of architectural heritage.

The Bombarda 54 building is a paradigmatic example of urban rehabilitation, part of the effort to preserve Lisbon’s historic essence while adapting spaces to contemporary demands. The project, developed by Heed Capital, involved the studio in reconciling contemporary intervention with respect for the original architectural features.

Living in History: The View of ECO and Jornal de Negócios

ECO, in an article published on 15 November 2024, highlighted the building’s unique potential to offer a contemporary living experience in a historic setting. It notes that Bombarda 54 combines the elegance of modern design with the characteristic elements of the original building. Our team took on the responsibility of transforming the property while preserving elements such as the façades and other architectural details that tell Lisbon’s story.

The article underlines the possibility of living in central Lisbon in a building that keeps its original elements while meeting today’s standards. That balance is one of the guiding lines of the work of Tiago R. Correia Arquitectos.

Jornal de Negócios highlighted the development as a reference in the luxury property market. The one and two-bedroom apartments were designed to offer a high standard of comfort, with prices ranging from €650,000 to €990,000. This value demonstrates the positive impact of careful architectural interventions, which add value not only to the building but also to the city’s urban fabric.

The Role of Tiago R. Correia Arquitectos

The studio’s goal is to develop architectural solutions that respond to clients’ needs and contribute to the regeneration of the urban space. The mention in these two publications reflects the studio’s work in design quality and heritage responsibility.

At Bombarda 54, the challenge was to preserve the building’s historic identity while making it functional and appealing for today. The project reflects our philosophy: to create spaces that tell stories, yet also welcome new narratives.

We thank Heed Capital for their trust and collaboration on this project. The recognition of the work by Jornal de Negócios and ECO reinforces the rigour the studio seeks to apply to every project.

Urban rehabilitation is essential to preserving Lisbon’s character and vitality. At the studio, we understand that architecture plays a central role in this process, reconciling the preservation of the existing with adaptation to current needs.
