Description
Renovation and extension of a historic building of high heritage value on Avenida Miguel Bombarda, 54, in Lisbon. More than mere conservation, the project adds two new residential floors carefully integrated into the existing structure, reinforcing the building's presence within the urban fabric.
The historic façade was restored with precision and the elements that define the building's identity kept intact; the contemporary additions harmonise with the original proportions, materials and textures. Inside, the reinterpretation of the heritage reconciles historical integrity with present-day functionality and comfort, and the new floors optimise natural light and views over the city.
